 WINTER IS COMING…

 

In preparation for winter snow removal, please ensure all alleys and boulevards are clear of vehicles / trailers / boats / campers / rocks / wood piles or any other items that could damage snow removal equipment to prepare for winter snow removal.

 

If you place tarps on your lawn, DO NOT use rocks or bricks to hold down as they get caught in city equipment. Please use tent pegs or wooden stakes and hammer flush into ground. 

 

We will be tagging / ticketing / towing / removing any vehicles or items that are not removed from the boulevard by the end of October.

Rossland, BC - The City of Rossland is very pleased to announce the official grand opening of the Washington Street upgrade project.

The Youth Action Network (YAN) space is coming along nicely. The building has been completely gutted and renovated inside, and now features a new roof. A huge amount of support has come from community volunteers on this project – a testimony to how important this organization is to the youth (and their families) of Rossland.

Manager of Recreation and Events (Exempt)

Located in the beautiful West Kootenays, the City of Rossland is a progressive municipality known for its proximity to outstanding outdoor recreation, heritage architecture and world-class arts and culture.

The City of Rossland is currently seeking a full-time Manager of Recreation and Events.  Reporting to, and under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer/Corporate Officer, this newly-created position will be responsible for managing, directing, promoting and overseeing City-wide recreational, programs, events, facilities and functions.  The Manager will work with local and regional partners, stakeholders and user groups to developed and ensure that all sport, recreation, leisure, cultural, and special event needs of the City are met.
