Hello, community members! I just wanted to introduce myself, Katie Swinwood, as the new WildSafeBC Coordinator for Rossland and Trail. I am a resident of the Kootenays and I love being outdoors enjoying nature and learning about our local ecosystems. I have a degree in Physical Geography and a diploma in Environmental Planning. This season, I will be striving to help our local communities keep “Wildlife Wild and Communities Safe” through education and awareness. In addition to a variety of community events throughout the season, I will have a booth at the Rossland and Trail Markets so come on down and have some fun! If you have any questions about wildlife in the community or are interested in booking a presentation for adults or for children, please contact me. You can reach me by phone at 250-644-6555 or by email at rossland@wildsafebc.com
