Neighbourhoods of Learning (NOL)

ROSSLAND NEIGHBOURHOODS OF LEARNING PROJECT 

Neighbourhoods of Learning is an initiative of the Ministry of Education that outlines a vision for education in which schools and community organizations partner to create Neighbourhood Learning Centres where people can access educational and community services under one roof. Neighbourhood Learning Centre schools may include many services, such as child-care programs, office space, health clinics, sports programs, seniors’ centres or family resource centres.

The Rossland Neighbourhoods of Learning Committee has received funding through the City of Rossland and the Ministry of Education, with support from School District # 20, to plan for a Neighbourhood Learning Centre in our community. This project is meant to contribute to the School District # 20 Planning for the Future process by proposing potential options for education in Rossland.
