Rossland Recreation offers programming for all ages- babies, seniors and everyone in between. Group fitness classes, educational courses, art, music and a variety of sport programs are just some of the activities to take part in. Our arena hosts a variety of programs throughout the year, including drop in hockey, public ice skating, roller skating on the dry floor and ball hockey. Our pool is one of the oldest in BC, and is open June through August. Facility bookings for private or community events also fall under the umbrella of the Recreation Department. Whether it’s a wedding or a concert, our rec department can assist you with making it happen.

Summer Camp Pre-Registration is NOW OPEN!
To promote inclusivity and equitability in summer camp registration (and to avoid the “summer camp scramble”), Rossland Rec is instituting a new system. Rather than having a set time to try to get spots for your children (ahh, stressful!), families are given the opportunity to pre-register for camps, rating weeks of summer camp in their order of preference/need. Spots are given out on a lottery system (while taking into account family’s preferences for weeks).
  1. Families can only pre-register their own children.
  2. Families must fill out a separate form for each child.
  3. Children must be 6 years or older on or before Dec 31, 2024 to attend summer camp.
  4. Children must be 12 years old or younger to attend summer camp as a camper.
  5. Siblings are automatically selected for the same weeks of summer camps, but not necessarily the same groups within those weeks.
  6. Children who are 11-13 years old have the option to apply be a “Leader-in-Training” at summer camp, to help out and gain leadership skills for a reduced summer camp rate (50% off). They will still participate in all summer camp activities as if they are a regular camper, with some increased responsibility (ie. helping younger kids transition between activities). If your child would like to apply to be an LIT at summer camp, have them fill out Part 2 of the form.
  7. Summer camp cost is $225.00 for the week (funding is available- info in the link itself) and the days run Mon through Fri from 8:45 am-4:30 pm (*except on holiday weeks when they run Tues-Fri and the price reflects the missed day).
  8. You will find out your placements no later than April 3.
  9. More info about the summer camps (dates and general idea of activity themes) can be found on the link itself.
