Solid Waste Collection & Disposal Services Review

The City of Rossland is reviewing the City’s Residential Curbside Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Service programs currently being provided. General undertakings related to this initiative includes an overall financial review of the City’s solid waste programs and services currently being provided, research on how other similar sized and type municipalities deliver their jurisdiction’s solid waste management program services (including all associated costs) and hosting both stakeholder input and public engagement sessions to collect information on views with respect to current/future solid waste collection service undertakings within the City.

As part of this initiative, the City will be hosting a community open house to discuss options and how waste could look to be managed in the future. Please come and join in on the discussion!

Deadlines for online feedback submissions and/or comments is midnight on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2019.

The City has retained Dillon Consulting Limited to help complete this review and lead public engagement and online feedback initiatives.
