Press Release – For Immediate Release

City of Rossland Update to Requirements for Public Skating and Facility Rentals/Events

As of December 11, 2021, proof of full vaccination (2 doses) will be required for all Rossland Recreation public skating participants and spectators aged 12 years and older. With a busy skating season upon us, and the desire to allow for more than 50 people to participate in this service, this change is necessary to better serve the community while following public heath orders.

To support this change, we ask all participants 12 years old and older to come to public skate prepared to show their proof of vaccination. All participants 18 years old and older should also bring their accompanying government issued picture identification.

With the lifting of the Interior Health Order, City of Rossland facilities are now available to host events up to full seated capacity. All participants 12 years and older will be required to prove full vaccination status for all events over 50 and masks are required when not eating and drinking. Renters of City facilities are expected to ensure their events also follow these, and any additional, health orders in place.

The City of Rossland continues to adjust their policies according to the ongoing changes to public health orders and appreciates the community’s patience as we work to offer our services in the safest way possible in line with the BC Restart Plan.

Please contact Rossland Recreation with any questions regarding City facilities and programs in regard to COVID-19 policies and procedures.
