Winter is Coming!

 WINTER IS COMING…

In preparation for winter snow removal, please ensure all alleys and boulevards are clear of vehicles / trailers / boats / campers / rocks / wood piles or any other items that could damage snow removal equipment to prepare for winter snow removal.

If you place tarps on your lawn, DO NOT use rocks or bricks to hold down as they get caught in city equipment. Please use tent pegs or wooden stakes and hammer flush into ground.

We will be tagging / ticketing / towing / removing any vehicles or items that are not removed from the boulevard by the end of October.

WATCH: for “No Parking Snow Removal” signs and have vehicles removed from streets before 6 am or they will be ticketed or towed. If you see the grader or blower coming down the street, please move your vehicle out of the way so we can clear the roads properly.

Temporary shelters/garages MUST be behind your property line and NOT on City boulevards or streets.

REMEMBER: Vehicles MUST be moved on city streets every 24 hours. If you see snow removal equipment working on a street, please avoid driving through for your safety and the safety of the operator.

Please DO NOT push any snow onto roads or alleys that are cleared by plows. Snow is to be shoveled onto the home owners’ property. This is for the safety of all drivers.

The City crews appreciate the effort put in by all residents to keep the boulevards clear and thank you for removing vehicles from the street when you know the plow is coming around.

Check the City website to review the snowplowing policy and the schedule for your street.
