In an effort to make our newsletter more readable, what do you think of our new subheadings?

 Recreation and environment:

Council discussed the next steps towards achieving BearSmart Community designation from WildsafeBC

Planning and Infrastructure:

Council held a public hearing for zoning amendments for several properties.

Administrative matters:

Council had a preview of the draft 2022-2026 Financial Plan.


It’s time to nominate this year’s Community Contributor!

The Heritage Commission and the Museum & Discovery Centre are collaborating to present the Harry Measure event happening at the Miners’ Union Hall October 23rd 1:30pm. Pre-registration is required.


COVID-19 case activity is still high across our region, however we are seeing some stabilization, which is a positive sign. Most cases continue to be among unvaccinated people under 40 years of age.
